ManCat Monday " I do not like my hairball" :(
Cats get hairballs mainly because they spend
so much time cleaning themselves.
Although cats do not like water,
they do like being very clean at all times, and they do so,
of course, licking their fur.
You cat probably grooms many times every day.
Because cats also shed, they swallow a lot of their own hair.
Most of this passes naturally through the cat's system
but occasionally the hair becomes matted and entwined in the stomach,
causing a hairball that is too large to pass through the system.
When this happens, the cat vomits the hairball...
Kareltje spitting a hairball out :(

Here are a few examples, how a hairball looks ;)

My bonsai 私の盆栽 ....
The leaves of the trees are now finally open,
so I can you something show from our garden :)
This is my pride in our garden ^__^
My favorite bonsai (look-a-like)
its a red Japanese Maple !!
He is now 20 years old and I am pruning it every year.
It is like a large umbrella.
(Those white vertical line is one of the beams of our roof.
The tree is situated between the terrace and the garden.)
It looks BEAUTIFUL....

These are all Japanese Maple ,
the left is 9 years are old, the right one 4 years.

ManCat Monday "self-written for Kareltje"
If I could talk
talk to my cat
I would say to him
hi... friend how about that
That I can talk with you
as it is now
it is very exciting
I talk with you now
I can tell you now
how much I feel for you
I can also explain
what if I mean
I mean you nice tail
I mean your cute snout
I think you really a cat
I love you the most of all :)

Anya :)

Tail chasers Club :)
In Denmark (not far from the Netherlands)
there live Cliff and Olivia, and they have a Tail Club !
Denmark is a very beautiful country,
I was there once on holiday,
and I have visit'LEGO WORLD with the children (but that is a few years ago).
In case anyone don't know, any animal who chases their own tail
(or someone else's tail!) can join the club :)
just click on the graphic below and leave a comment.
You must choose a name for your tail, of course....
The only criteria for membership is that your tail has a name ;)

SUZANNE she did it ..... Yeahhhhh
YES YES ....SUZANNE SHE DID IT :)))
She has walked the Kennedy March......Easter Saturday, April 11
A Kennedy march is a long-distance march of 50 miles (80 km),
named after former American president John F. Kennedy's following
words uttered in 1963.
Kennedy marches have since been organised to prove John F. Kennedy
wrong in this pessimistic.
The Kennedy-Mars Sittard is the oldest Kennedy March of the Netherlands.
History :
The Kennedy march became a fad in the UK shortly after American people
took up Kennedy's challenge.
After Dutch television showed images of the Kennedy march craze,
some Dutch people decided to make an attempt at finishing
the 80 kilometers within 20 hours.
Here a picture from Suzanne with her girlfriends :)

My youngest daughter Suzanne (she is 21 years)
has reached 80 kilometers (50 miles) Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah..........
Kennedy march : fifty miles within twenty hours!!
She walks 19 hours yippieeeeeeeee........
I had promised her if she would get Roosteren (we live here)
then I walked the final stretch with her; thats only 15 km :(
I still have muscle pain LOL
Care of the blisters :(

Have you ever seen something soft .....

The Netherlands...
Today a post where we live.
We have friends from all over the world,
and now they can see where we live !!
We live in The Netherlands :
Western Europe, bordering the North Sea,
between Belgium and Germany.
Climate : temperate; marine; cool summers and mild winters
Terrain : mostly coastal lowland and reclaimed land
Geography: located at mouths of three major European rivers ;
(Rhine, Maas or Meuse, and Schelde)
People : 17.000.000
Its a little country :)

We live here about 20 years !!
We live close to the River "Maas".
We have twice seen a flood :(
That was not funny :(
The last flood was 22 December 1993,
I will never forget, it was two days before Christmas.
I occasionally have nightmares about floods :(
No picture of the river Maas, not my favorite, sorry.....
Almost one mile from our house is a nature reserve.
Its beautiful and there are living many horses.
We say in Dutch "Koningspaarden"!!
English translation: Prewalski horses.
Prezewalski's horses are the last surviving subspecies of wild horse.
The horse once freely roamed the steppe along the Mongolia-China border.
Never again seen in the wild.
Przewalski’s horses have since been kept and bred in captivity
and have recently been reintroduced in Mongolia.
With a short, muscular body, Przewalski’s horses are smaller than most.
